Join The Friends of the SVP!!

The School Volunteer Program is always under demand for our services as more and more schools become aware of the benefits children receive by participating in our mentoring program.

Our volunteer mentors also receive considerable self-satisfaction as they witness the improvement in the children they assist. Of course they also know that they are really making a difference by being involved in their communities.

The demand for our services places considerable strain on our financial resources and we never seem to have enough funds to expand as quickly as we would like. We only have three paid staff members and administration volunteers provide assistance in the office to back up these staff. In addition of course, there are almost 2,000 other volunteers in schools across Western Australia providing valuable one-to-one mentoring to children identified by school staff as in the need of a helping hand.

The Friends of the SVP has been launched to provide a tax effective way for all members of the public who may not have the time to assist as a volunteer mentor, to make donations to the School Volunteer Program.
