Programs
The School Volunteer Program offers various programs where volunteers can engage in mentoring.
CORE PROGRAM
The core program requires the Volunteer to attend a local school for one hour per week to mentor a student who has been identified as potentially benefiting from the program. Mentors usually attend the same time and day each week, working with the same student, for a minimum commitment of one school term (10 weeks).
During sessions Mentors devote full attention to the student, whilst providing encouragement and taking sincere interest in their efforts. Mentors, by being caring and positive, reinforce improvements and encourage the student to tackle learning more positively in the general classroom.
CORPORATE EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERING

Volunteer community involvement and in particular interaction with students in our local schools, is a valuable training ground for employees to acquire enhanced skills in leadership, team building and communication. This has a corresponding advantage of strengthening the corporate culture.
